The Price of Energy
The deliberate manipulation of our Energy Markets by the Obama administration

Every week in America, it seems that energy costs are increasing exponentially, and our domestic supplies our decreasing. In a normal society, most administrations would do their best to promote energy exploration and production to reuduce the costs that are only making the financial situtation for Americans worse than they already are. We are still still in the midst of a fragile "recovery" that still has an unemployment rate hovering above 9%, and businesses that are afraid to Hire. Higher energy costs not only effect the consumers spending ability, it also increases operating costs for employers, and reduces profits. These costs will be passed on to the consumer, resulting in inflation, and/or will reduce hiring and wages for employees.

Price of Gas

So, you have to ask yourself: "Why is the Obama administration doing there best to reduce production of fossil fuels, and drive up prices of all forms of energy in America." Over the course of the first two years of the Obama administration they have shut down coal mines, eliminated almost all domestic off-shore oil drilling, and have limited the exploration and refining capabilities of the fossil fuel industry. As a result of the administrations actions, fossil fuel prices are increasing at a level that far exceeds the rate of inflation, and many experts are predicting that the average price for a gallon of gas will most assuredly reach $5 by the end of 2012.

This week, Judge feldman of New Orleans, Louisiana, found the interior department to be in contempt of court for violating his ruling against the Obama administrations drilling moratorium following the Guldf of Mexico oil spill last year. Instead of recognizing the judges order and obeying it, the administration issued another order within days that was for all intents and purposes, the same as the one that was ruled illegal by judge Feldman. "Such dismissive conduct, viewed in tandem with the re- imposition of a second blanket and substantively identical moratorium, and in light of the national importance of this case, provide this court with clear and convincing evidence of the government’s contempt," Feldman said.

In Alaska this week, Shell Alaska has put drilling in the Beaufort area on hold until 2012 due to the "foot-dragging" of the Obama administration in getting permits approved. This is yet another example of the administration doing everything in their power to slow, or stop fossil fuel production in America.
