Federal government takes over Student loan Program

With the signing of the Healthcare reconciliation bill into law, President Obama is also signing a provision that
was slipped in, placing the student loan program under federal rule. This takeover of the program from the private industry
is estimated to cost tens of thousands of jobs in the private sector, and further tighten the federal governments control
over every aspect of our education system.

Obama administration changes 76 year old union rules
making it easier to unionize railroads and airline workeers

Obama's National Mediation Board changed 76 year old union rules concerning union votes at railroads and airlines. Now instead of needing a majority of workers voting yes to unionize, the unions only need a majority of the voters voting yes to unionize.
This is the biggest present to date to the unions from the Obama administration. This change is going to result in higher costs, and higher prices in an already overpriced industry. The unions in this country are responsible for the runaway pensions that are now threatening the solvency of every municipaility that is facing hardship. Unions have dessimated the auto industry, and hava bankrupted California.
Unions represent less than 7% of the puclic sector work force. Why do we continue to allow them to control so much of it. To read more, Click here.
